Your licence

Studiojin grants you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the app on devices you own or control, for as long as you follow these terms. The app and its design remain the property of Studiojin. The word content is licensed separately, as described under “Word content and sources”.

Free use and Lifetime Access

• Free lets you learn as many new words as you like from every exam track, with all study modes. Free shows ads, as described in the Privacy Policy
• What Free includes may change. If it does, we will tell you in the app at least 30 days before the change
• Lifetime Access (Pro) is a one-time, non-consumable purchase that, for as long as Studiojin offers the app, removes ads, unlocks the subject packs (medicine, law, IT and others) and includes Pro features added later. It is not a subscription and never renews
• A purchase belongs to the store account you bought it with. A purchase in the App Store does not carry over to Android, or the other way round
• If you reinstall the app or move to a new device, use Restore Purchase in Settings › Premium

Prices and sales

Prices are shown in the store before you pay and may include taxes depending on where you live. We may change the price of Lifetime Access for future purchases, including temporary sales and launch offers. A later price change or sale does not entitle earlier buyers to a partial refund.

Payments and refunds

Purchases are processed by Apple or Google and are also governed by their terms, including Apple’s Licensed Application End User License Agreement. Refunds are handled by the store you bought from: Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com, and Google Play through your Google Play order history. This does not limit any rights you have under consumer protection law where you live. When a purchase is refunded, Lifetime Access is turned off.

Most meanings and example sentences were written and checked with language models. The core word list, word levels, and some meanings and example sentences come from the public sources above, selected, summarised and edited. The core English word pack is therefore distributed under CC BY-SA 4.0, and its source attributions are part of the app’s content. The subject packs (medicine, law, IT and others) are generated with language models only and contain no third-party text. Exam groupings (school levels, CSAT, TOEIC, TOEFL, GRE) are our own and are not official word lists. Some cards may contain mistakes; if you find one, please tell us.

Your study records

Your study history, schedule and settings are stored only on your device. Studiojin has no server and cannot recover them. Deleting the app deletes them. Device backups follow Apple’s or Google’s backup policies.

Acceptable use

• Don’t copy, extract or resell the app, except where the law or the licence of the word content allows it
• Don’t get around purchase checks

Updates and availability

We may update the app to fix problems, improve content or follow platform and legal requirements, and features or word content may change over time. Some features need a recent version of iOS, iPadOS or Android.

Disclaimer and limitation of liability

The app is provided “as is”. To the extent the law allows, Studiojin does not promise that the word content is complete or free of errors, that the app will improve your test scores, or that it will run without interruption. To the extent the law allows, Studiojin is not liable for indirect or consequential losses or for the loss of study records stored on your device. If Studiojin is found liable to you, its total liability is limited to the amount you paid for the app in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, such as liability for intentional misconduct or gross negligence, or your statutory rights as a consumer.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea. If you are a consumer, you also keep the protection of the mandatory laws of the country where you live, and you can bring a claim in the courts there.
